The Ushers & Collectors Ministry (UCM) of the Parish thru its social action arm, The Bread of St. Anthony, will be having a gift giving project this Christmas season for the less fortunate children of the Parish entitled “Lumang Laruan Bagong Ngiti”. The said undertaking is one of the annual community outreach projects to be adapted by the group starting this year for our less fortunate parishioners this Christmas Season.
The project is actually in line with the tradition of the Angel Basket Program that was developed by the undersigned along with the pioneer members of Michaelian’s Business Management Society (MBMS) of St. Michael’s College ten (10) years ago. Last November 22, 2008, the group started to solicit old toys and will lasts until December 22, 2008 in time for the actual gift giving on December 24, 2008 to coincide also with the Pamasko Sa Kaparokya 2008 Project of the Parish.
Everyone is welcome to join us for the said project and be one of our official apostolate partner and let us relive once again the spirit of genuine service and love for our less fortunate brothers and sisters. As a group of concerned men and women of the parish, we take it upon ourselves to help our “kaparokya”. However, inasmuch as we would like to help all of them, we cannot do this on our own. Thus, we need as much help as we can get.
The project is also in partnership with Sta. Catalina College who has always been part of the UCM Family from the very start.
